Mostar town and whole of Herzegovina region are must-see by anyone ever coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina or area of Balkans. Herzegovina tour provides you to visit five interesting places:

The first stop of the day is a short visit to the old part of Konjic town. Konjic is known by The Old Stone Bridge, which connected the banks of the Neretva river for centuries. Tour in Konjic will cover the story of woodcarvers.

Kravice waterfall

Then we continue through some really amazing parts of Neretva river canyon, telling the unique stories of Herzegovina. After Konjic we arrive at our next stop – Kravice waterfalls. Kravice waterfall, located on the Trebižat River in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It’s a mini version of Niagara Falls, hidden in the Balkans. The Kravice waterfalls form a natural amphitheater 40 km southwest of the city of Mostar. For its amazing beauty and untouched nature, it’s protected by Bosnia and Herzegovina as a natural rarity.

After enjoying Kravice waterfalls, we keep going, and after short ride arrive to Pocitelj, the stepped Ottoman-era fortress village of Počitelj is a medieval and Ottoman-Mediterranean wonder of nature and architecture, a place like no other. Cupped in a steep rocky amphitheater, it’s a warren of stairways climbing between ramshackle stone-roofed houses and pomegranate bushes. Since the year 2000, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Government has placed the village under a Programme of Permanent Protection.

The monastery is an important monument of the early Ottoman period in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The monastery has been used by the dervishes in order to perform special rituals and today they still perform Dhikr (praise to God). The Blagaj Tekke is situated by the spring of the river Buna, surrounded by beautiful mountains.

In the end, we will have a walking tour in Mostar. The lovely experience delivered by Meet Bosnia local guide – one of the most important pearls of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A city of stone on stone, historical, political, scientific and cultural center of Herzegovina lies at the foot of the slopes of Velez Mountain, in the Neretva River valley.

Mostar was one of the most destroyed cities during the war in Bosnia, but even today it has enough preserved architecture speaks to the rich cultural past of this city. Our professional guides will accompany you to the Old Town. This is where you will find the famous bridge and the largest concentration of historic and cultural sights.

The most famous attraction here is the Old Bridge, built-in 1566 according to plans of Hayruddin, the great Turkish builder of the 16th c. it has been entered on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. It’s the beating heart of the city, a strong iconic symbol of its history, one of the country’s most recognizable landmarks.  In Mostar, you can also visit Hamam – Turkish bath, the only Turkish bath still existing in Mostar and one of the few remaining examples in the whole of Herzegovina. Visiting this location will have the unique opportunity to take an immersive step “back in time,” engaging in an element of Mostar lifestyle that has been prevalent for centuries. Koski Mehmed-pasha Mosque and Crooked Bridge in Mostar are some of the most interesting things you will see during your walking tour in Mostar.
