Departure from Sarajevo Old Town
Sarajevo siege tour begins in the heart of the city — the Old Town, where centuries of history meet the scars of the 1990s war. The guide introduces you to the key events that turned Sarajevo into the world’s focus three times in the last century: the 1914 assassination that sparked World War I, the 1984 Winter Olympic Games, and the Siege of Sarajevo (1992–1996) — the longest siege in modern warfare.
Yellow Fortress (Žuta tabija)
The first stop is the Yellow Fortress, one of the best panoramic viewpoints in Sarajevo. From here, you will get an overview of the city’s layout and understand how geography shaped the siege.
