Balkan countries day 2 - Belgrade - Novi Sad

Next morning you will have an opportunity to explore the beautiful capital of Serbia. First of all, there is an incredible Kalamegdan Fortress situated in the centre of the city where the river Sava flows into the river Danube. You will also visit the popular Square of Republic and Knez Mihajlova Street, Saint Sava Temple, the largest Orthodox Church in the city and Tito’s Memorial. You can also visit one of the best zoos in the Balkans.

After lunch, we will continue to the second-largest city in Serbia – Novi Sad. The most recognized and probably the most beautiful structure of Novi Sad is Petrovaradin Fortress from which you have a beautiful view of the city and where you can find a museum with a permanent collection featuring the history of the fortress. You can also find there two imposing buildings – the University of Novi Sad and the National Theatre.

Balkan countries day 3 - Novi Sad - Sarajevo

After breakfast at your hotel in Novi Sad, we officially finished our 1st stop on our Balkan countries tour and we are heading to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Sarajevo.

In Sarajevo, you will have a two-hour walking tour with a local guide. During the tour, you will see the most important cultural, historic and religious monuments in Sarajevo, such as Baščaršija Square, Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, Orthodox church, Catholic cathedral, Latin bridge (known for the assassination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand) and other interesting places in Sarajevo. Overnight in Sarajevo.

Balkan countries day 4 - Sarajevo - Mostar and Herzegovina region

After breakfast in your hotel in Sarajevo, our Balkan tour continues to Herzegovina (southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina) where we will have our famous Old Bridge in Mostar and four pearls of Herzegovina. On this tour, you will enjoy the beautiful landscape of Hercegovina and learn more about the history of this region.

You will visit Konjic, a small but beautiful town in Herzegovina, Počitelj Village, and Blagaj village where you can visit a mysterious Tekke (Derwish Monastery) and enjoy lunch next to the Spring of the river Buna. Later on, we will go to Kravice waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Europe.
After enjoying Kravice, we are heading to the famous Mostar. In Mostar, you will have a walking tour in the Old Town of the city where the majority of landmarks are located. The beating heart of the city is certainly a well-known Old Bridge of Mostar, protected by UNESCO. Overnight in Mostar.

Balkan countries day 5 - Mostar - Dubrovnik

After spending a night in Mostar, we will continue our Balkan countries tour to one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Croatia and one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea – Dubrovnik.

We will visit the old part of the city where you can see some imposing monuments such as the Rector’s Palace and Franciscan Church and Monastery and of course, the famous City Walls of Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Amazing place with an even more amazing private tour by Meet Bosnia Travel!!
We engaged Meet Bosnia Travel and were taken everywhere by Mdm Beema & Sabrina, they took us to so many lovely places and filled us in with Bosnia’s background & history, from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik fantastic trip & scenery as well as left over war i.e. abandon villages & bullet riddled buildings.
Such a beautiful country, I urge everyone to visit it before the exodus of the masses find its way to this jewel! Get Meet Bosnia to guide your tour be it private or in group. We came as a Stranger and parted with new found friends with them, they make us so welcome and take care of us so well. Even go out of their way to sent us to the airport and gave the best burek for our lunch! We are already planning our return!

The best way to meet Bosnia
I was lucky enough to have had a tour with ‘Meet Bosnia’ and it was, quite simply, fantastic; be it nature, or an exploration into the history of Bosnia itself, ‘Meet Bosnia’ will meet and exceed your expectations. This is also due, in no small part, to the remarkable quality of the guides themselves, which for us was Edin; you will not find a more friendly, reliable informative and honest guide. For us it did not seem as if we were simply being led by a guide, but rather guided by a friend. Do yourself a favour; if you plan of visiting Bosnia, be sure to arrange with Edin and ‘Meet Bosnia’ to be the ones to truly show it to you.
