Three days in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Day 1Arrival and tour in Sarajevo

Three Days in Bosnia and Herzegovina starts with your arrival in Sarajevo. You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Later on, we will start with the Sarajevo Walking Tour. Walking through charming small ancient streets of Sarajevo will make you fall in love with this lovely city. A walk through Sarajevo is a walk through its past. From the oriental Ottoman quarters lined with sweet shops, cafes and handicraft workshops, to the administrative and cultural center of Austro-Hungarian times, Sarajevo encompasses the very best of both worlds.

The next tour will be the panoramic Sarajevo War Tour. Just 8 years after Sarajevo hosted XIV Winter Olympic Games, the city became the city under the longest siege in modern history. On this tour we will visit Yellow Fortress with the best panoramic view of the city. We will pass through Sniper Alley, see Hotel Holiday Inn. We will also visit the famous Tunnel Of Hope which was the only exit from besieged Sarajevo, Trebevic Mountain, and bobsleigh track and the former frontlines.

Overnight in the hotel.

Three days in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Day 2Herzegovina region

Three Days in Bosnia and Herzegovina continues after breakfast when we will departure to the Herzegovina region.

The first stop will be in Konjic – a charming, small town located on the banks of river Neretva. We will talk about its symbol – Old Stone Bridge constructed in period of the Ottoman rule in Bosnia. You can have a coffee here and enjoy the most beautiful panorama. Then we continue through some really amazing parts of the Neretva river canyon.

The next destination is Kravice, a breathtaking waterfall on the Trebižat River. It’s known as a small version of Niagara Falls, hidden in the Balkans. For its amazing beauty and untouched nature, it’s protected by Bosnia and Herzegovina as a natural treasure. In the summertime, you can enjoy swimming here.

Then we will proceed to Blagaj, a haven of peace and natural harmony. In Blagaj village we will visit a mysterious Tekke (Derwish Monastery) constructed in the early Ottoman period- The Blagaj Tekke is situated by the spring of the river Buna, surrounded by beautiful mountains.

At the end of the day, it’s timeI for Mostar experience – a city of light, stone on stone, historical, political, scientific and cultural center of Herzegovina lies at the foot of the slopes of Velez Mountain, in the Neretva River valley. With its UNESCO protected Old Bridge, it is one of the most important pearls of Bosnia & Herzegovina.

I saw a video on YouTube about a trip with Meet Bosnia Tour and I liked it. So I contacted the agency by email when I was in Dubrovnik and Medina responded back immediately to answered all my questions, and to give us great suggestions in how they could help us. So, when we arrived in Čapljina, the guide, Adnan picked us up and we started our private tour. He was very knowledgeable about history, religion and local and international politics. He was very friendly and answered all our questions in a very professional manner. And, we cannot forget our free walking tour in Sarajevo with a fantastic guide, Kiki. She narrated the history and the past events of the city in such exciting way that we were transported to the time and place where those events took place. I was eager to know more about the history of Bosnia and she gave us a mini class -but very detailed – on the history of Bosnia and its city of Sarajevo. She is an excellent guide…!
We travel quite a lot and this tour agency is the best we have experienced so far.

My husband and I had a magnificent trips with Meet Bosnia Tours. The sights along the way made us aware of the great natural beauty of this country which was welcome after having learned about the devastating war that ripped apart this country. Our guide, Armina, has a wealth of knowledge about the history of the Balkans as well as current events, and explained the complexity of ethnic relations, war memories, the difficulty of reconciliation, and hopes for the future. Her love of Bosnia Herzegovina is obvious. She was very attentive to the needs of each of us during our tour (7 people). Our driver was excellent; clearly experienced in navigating everything from the motorway to narrow winding gravel roads. We hope to be in the area again and, if so, we’ll certainly head to Meet Bosnia Tours for another unforgettable experience.
